The traditional ceramic restoration remains popular with many doctors because of its proven track record. Traditional layered porcelain is fused to a coping made from your choice of yellow high noble, semiprecious or nonprecious alloys.


Our Dental Pfm can be used for crowns and bridges (up to fourteen units). PFMs Crowns can be manufactured to non-precious, semi-precious, and yellow high noble copings and can be used in conjunction with cast partials and implants.


Captek™ Porcelain Crowns proprietary blend of high noble alloys allows its copings to better mimic natural teeth’s inner structures, improving esthetics when compared to traditional PFM. With palladium and platinum strengthening the gold substructure, Captek™ Crowns are stable and biocompatible, promoting long-term stability as a crown or on implants.


Captek can be used for all single unit crowns and bridges with up to 2 pontics. Captek can be used when reduction of the tooth may be limited. Captek can be used when periodontal health is a concern and when biocompatibility is a concern.


Captek should not be used when a tooth preparation is not built back up to preparation form or there is over 3 millimeters of clearance. Captek™ Dental Bridges should not be used when adapting to a future or existing partial, or when a metal occlusal is prescribed.

Full Cast

The most biocompatible option, full-cast crowns are extremely delicate on opposing enamel, making them an ideal solution when cosmetic concerns aren’t an issue. Available with alloys of all grades to meet patients’ budgets, all of Bio-Dent’s full-gold crowns meet ADA specifications.

Full Cast Dental Restorations are indicated for single zirconia crowns as well as bridges anywhere in the mouth.

Inlays and onlays can also be fabricated as a Full Cast Crown Dental restoration.

The cementing can be done by lower expanding of glass ionomer cements, or by bonding with resin cements as per the indications. A look on the Indications

The indications of IPS e.max dental crowns & bridge have been done, keeping in mind complete anterior or posterior crowns, along with the presence of 3- unit bridges, having the most distal abutment in just one pontic with second bicuspid. The computer aided design process indicates absolute anterior or the posterior crowns. The recommendation of Emax Veneers is advised in the case when it has to be combined with the adjacent IPS e.max crown or bridges. Another condition is the achievement of sufficient amount of reduction, as it could lead to indication of original IPS e.max CAD or IPS empress for onlays, Emax veneers and inlays.

Contradictions involved

It should not be used for Maryland type bridges, or in the cases when appropriate preparation requirement cannot be achieved. The application of ips e max crowns & bridge for abutments of cast partials should be avoided. The patients with fault occlusion like clenchers or bruxers should not be allowed for the product.


The need for a shoulder margin or a chamfer is must for anterior full coverage crowns. The width of chamfer has to be near to 1 mm, with being circular and having inner edges at an angle 10-30o, the lingual contact clearance area should be 1-1.5 mm, having facial reductions of 1.5 to 2 mm. The line angles in interior of the structure should be rounded with reduction of 1.5 to 2 mm. To permit the appropriate milling of incisal edge, it should be allowed a minimum width of 1 mm, to facilitate CAD/CAM handling.

IPS Empress®

The most highly esthetic monolithic restoration available at Bio-Dent, IPS Empress® crowns are pressed from a leucite-glass composite for extremely translucent and lifelike restorations. Ideal for single-unit restorations when cosmetics are vital, Empress restorations’ strength is still comparable to that of natural enamel.


IPS Empress® is recommended for anterior single crowns, inlays, onlays and Porcelain veneers. IPS Empress® veneer is recommended for anterior restorations to block out mild staining, close diastemas or to just enhance esthetics.


IPS Empress® should not be used on patients with malfunctional occlusion such as bruxers or clenchers. IPS Empress® should not be used as custom abutments for cast partials. IPS Empress® should not be used in situations when preparation requirements cannot be achieved. IPS Empress® veneer is not to be used in the case of correcting severe stain situations such as tetracycline.
